Most firms discover their AI position the same way. Someone asks. A client, an insurer, a lateral hire in final-round. And the honest answer is that nobody knows what is in use, by whom, or against what rules.
That is not a policy problem. It is a visibility problem. Writing a policy for practice you cannot see is how firms end up with a document nobody follows and a false sense of control.
The audit makes the practice visible first. It covers:
- Awareness and practice: what your people actually believe they are allowed to do.
- Sanctioned tools and shadow AI: what is in daily use that the firm never approved.
- Governance: the rules that exist on paper, and whether anyone works to them.
- Client data and confidentiality: where client material goes the moment a tool is opened.
- Security and monitoring: what is logged, and what would actually be noticed.
How it works
- An anonymous survey to everyone relevant in the firm. The anonymity is the method, not a courtesy. It surfaces the practice that interviews never will.
- Interviews with partners and management, aimed at what the survey exposed rather than at a generic checklist.
- A written report with a red, amber or green rating in each category, and a ranked list of what to fix first. Short enough for the partnership to read, specific enough to act on.
What it costs
£3,490. One payment, up front. Not an hourly engagement, and no separate scoping fee before it.
You will know from the call whether it is worth doing. If it is not, I will say so rather than sell you one.
The first firms willing to be named in a testimonial pay a reduced fee. Ask on the call.
